WUHAN, China (October 30, 2017) - Wuhan Optoelectronics Forum No. 132 was successfully held in Auditorium A101 at Wuhan National Laboratory for Optoelectronics (WNLO) in the morning of October 30. Dr. Pingshi Jin from Shanghai Institute of Ceramics delivered an exciting talk entitled Light-control Nano-materials for Energy Saving and Environmental Protection. Dr. GuoLi Tu, from WNLO chaired the forum. Dr. Song Xia, Chair of WNLO committee, awarded Dr. Pingshi Jin the forum medal.
The development of new materials for energy saving technique and environmental protections is one of the hot topic research in the world. Based on the interaction mechanism between the matters and light, a series of nano-materials have been developed. They have been used for environmental purification by the energy of light or for building energy saving by a reversible control of solar absorption. We will review the recent progress of this research and the prospect of their industrial application of our group.
Dr. Pingshi Jin is the director of Industrial Ceramics Engineering Research center in Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He was the full time national distinguished expert in the second batch of Thousands of People plan in 2009. He has engaged in the research and applications of energy saving technique and environmental protection nano-new materials for more than 30 years. He has published about 300 academic papers, declared more than 100 China, Japan and US patents.
