An inspiring report entitled Spectroscopic Probes and Sensing Analysis was given by Prof. Huimin Ma in Wuhan Optoelectronics Forum No. 198, which was on 20th October, 2023 in the Auditorium C117 at Wuhan National Laboratory for Optoelectronics (WNLO). Prof. Wei Chen chaired the forum and Prof. Shaoqun Zeng awarded the forum medal to Prof. Huimin Ma.
Prof. Ma introduced some significant milestones in the rapid development of spectroscopic probes. He also detailed the design strategies and response modes of spectroscopic probes. In addition, he pointed out the advantages and disadvantages of each response mode. At the end of the report, Prof. Ma shared some new discoveries, new mechanisms and new results made by his research team in the field of spectroscopic probes and in vivo imaging.
After the report, there was a deep two-way exchange and discussion between the audience and Prof. Ma about the hot topics in the field of fluorescent probes.
Huimin Ma is currently a Professor at ICCAS and UCAS, and the director of the CAS Key Laboratory of Analytical Chemistry for Living Biosystems.
