SPIE is providing International Year of Light (IYL) Activity Grants to support SPIE Student Chapters

Dear Huazhong Univ. of Science and Technology Club officers and advisor,

Reminder! Are you planning a special International Year of Light activity? Would you like to plan one? Now is your chance!

We would like to encourage our SPIE student chapters to take advantage of IYL2015 and continue to provide excellent education outreach activities and promotion of photonics. Therefore, we are pleased to announce that SPIE is offering International Year of Light Activity Grants to support our student chapters.

There will be two application cycles, one for projects planned between January –March 2015, and one for projects planned for April –December 2015. The first round is now open and the deadline is quickly approaching!Only projects planned for January - March 2015 will be considered in the first cycle, open now,dead line 30 September, 2014.For projects between April and December 2015, the application will be open in October 2014. Submission deadline for second cycle is 1 December, 2014.
